OUR SERVICE

Local actors working in pursuit of national development objectives are the custodians of their national, sub-national and local systems and services.

Development actors around the world can play a pivotal role in supporting local actors strengthen their systems and services in a lasting manner.

We bring new perspectives and approaches to shaping partnerships with local actors and designing demand-driven systems-strengthening intentions and interventions that prioritise the institutionalisation of local actor capacities. We guide development actors in documenting their contribution to change in local systems to support a process of continuous learning and improvement.

INTENTION

CONTRIBUTION

INTERVENTION

Even with strong strategies, many organisations lack the internal capacity, systems, or adaptive structures to effectively deliver on locally grounded systems-strengthening commitments. As such, they often focus on short-term targets and linear approaches which result in unsustainable interventions.

We help you strengthen your operational readiness, ensuring your team, processes, and culture are equipped to enable locally owned systemic change. We help you engage with local actors, so your interventions not only launch—but stick.

This can include:

  • Capacity assessments
  • Staff skills, learning and growth journeys
  • Mindset shifting and organisational culture shaping
  • One-on-one or group coaching and mentoring
  • Partnership Action Plans
  • Tailored systems and processes
  • Implementation management
  • Change management

Development actors often struggle to credibly track, measure, and clearly show the real-world value and contribution of their work to long-term changes in system performance. This challenge means measurement is often deprioritised and under-resourced. This weakens accountability, limits adaptive learning and performance improvement and impacts funding-raising results.

We help you integrate monitoring approaches that pick-up on how short-, medium- and long-term changes in system performance can be attributed to your work or are collective results to which you have contributed. In this way, you can clearly communicate the role your work has played in advancing key development outcomes. Our rigorous approach to monitoring, evaluation, and research, enables data-driven learning, accountability, and continuous improvement.

This can include:

  • Monitoring and Evaluation plans
  • Programme reviews, appraisals and evaluations
  • Research design and implementation
  • Advocacy and Communications
  • Dissemination and adaptive learning loops

Many development actors struggle to design strategies that are truly outcome-oriented, locally grounded, and aligned with sustainable systems-strengthening principles.

This leads to plans that often miss the mark, generate superficial stakeholder buy-in and fail to leave behind sustainable change.

We help you formulate, socialize, and validate strategies that catalyse systemic change, are evidence-informed, rooted in local realities and work towards measurable outcomes. Our approach is participatory and designed to foster ownership, clarity, and commitment among stakeholders.

This can include:

  • Internal consultation exercises
  • External stakeholder dialogue
  • Active partnership engagement
  • Situation and context analyses
  • Assumptions and risk analysis
  • Vision, mission and objectives-setting
  • Theory of Change development
