Dominique De Bonis
Founder and Senior International Development Advisor
Dominique is an international development specialist with over 25 years of professional experience, acquired through project-based and long-term collaborations with various United Nations organisations, government and other agencies.
She leads the JCM portfolio with advisory support to strategy and programme design in humanitarian and development contexts, organisational development and change management processes. She brings a systems-thinking lens to the JCM service offering in a systematic and practical way over the short-term, but never loses sight of the “bigger picture” and the need for longer-term outcome sustainability.
She has helped clients around the world develop global, regional and country-level plans to tackle critical needs through social protection, emergency preparedness and supply chain strategies. Mainstreaming a gender and intersectionality lens is a mainstay of the JCM approach.
Her country portfolio includes Afghanistan, Angola, Bangladesh, Barbados, Bhutan, Burundi, Egypt, Ethiopia, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Iran, Jordan, Kenya, Laos, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Mozambique, Pakistan, Peru, Rwanda, Senegal, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine and Zimbabwe.
She has lived in Afghanistan, Kenya, Italy, Sweden and has now settled in Kent, England.
Dominique speaks English, Italian and French fluently, Spanish moderately and continues to study Arabic, Swahili and Japanese.
In her private sphere, she is passionate about sensitising children and youth to the world’s development challenges and opportunities, and through my support to larger development efforts, positively impacting children's lives and environmental conservation.
